In gratitude

The Chinmaya Mission is the visble proof of Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda's every breath, every cell offered in the service of humanity continuously for over four decades. When His dream is seeing the culmination of 50 golden years, how better can we show our gratitude to Him than to joyously gather and celebrate His life's message and teaching, which is what the Sammelan is all about.

Meeting members from our centres worldwide will create for us contacts in even far away places ! We suddenly realise we have family members all over and wherever you travel, it is likely that there is someone to receive and greet you! Our database of contacts widens hugely, which in today's age of communication is a great source of strength and security.

Expansion of vision

When we remain in our own centres for long, we may serve well but we also develop a 'frog in the well' attitude and feel that perhaps we are already doing too well. Or we may feel we are doing too little and become frustrated. When we meet and mingle with devotees and workers from other centres across the globe, we see that we have a lot to feel proud about but also that we have lot more to achieve and "miles to go". This expansion of vision gives us both confidence and inspiration.

Why should I register early?

1. A Sammelan of such massive proportion needs extensive planning as you can well surmise. To plan anything , the organisers need to have a fair idea of the number of participants. If most people register late, the organisers are pushed to arrange everything late... and that certainly makes things difficult all around. Early registration is therfore vital for us to be able to serve you better.

2. Early registrations are biggest encouragement for the organisers. A good participation figure will inspire the team members here to work with added vigour. They are striving very hard and your effort to register early would mean a lot to them.
