is the Rise in Love Youth Retreat? |
| Rise
in Love is a weekend residential retreat with Swami Swaroopananda,
organised by CHYK UK, the youth wing of the Chinmaya Mission
UK. Both days will be filled with lectures, discussion, activities
and reflection. The retreat is a chance to spend 2 days away
from the rush of everyday life to reflect and explore life's
deeper questions in the company of like-minded people and guided
by a spiritual master. Click

retreat will be held at Horsley Park near Leatherhead in Surrey

Kind Of Retreat Will It Be? |
| The
best way to get a feel for what these retreats are like is to

| But
what about this particular retreat? |
|
The
entire world talks about love. There are libraries of books
dedicated to it. But how much do we really understand love?
Love is the mother of all emotions and the cornerstone of
spirituality. But all too often, we confuse pure, selfless
love with selfish, emotional attachment.
Attachment demands of another. Love serves and sacrifices.
Attachment can never be fulfilled. Love is fulfilment in itself.
Attachment gives rise to duality. Love is an expression of
oneness. Within each of our hearts lies the capacity to love;
to give of ourselves and ask for nothing in return and in
the process, to rise above our desires and discover lasting
freedom and peace. All it takes is love.

| As
a young man, Swami Swaroopananda left his family's thriving
business in Hong Kong, convinced that life held some greater
Truth beyond everyday joy and sorrow. |

| He
studied under the world-renowned master of Vedanta, Swami Chinmayananda
and has spent over 20 years travelling the world, conducting
lectures to tens of thousands of people including many multinational
companies such as Ford and General Electric. |
