Chinmaya Mission invites you to Janmashtami 2010, a unique and magical day of inspiration with Pujya Guruji Swami Tejomayananda, head of Chinmaya Mission worldwide.
This event will take place all day on Thursday 2nd September 2010 at Sattavis Patidar Centre (formerly Advait), Forty Avenue, Wembley, Middx HA9 9PF.
The day is free and open to all; please note that some events during the day will require advanced registration or a ticket.

The venue is the Sattavis Patidar (formerly Advait) Centre, Forty Ave, Wembley, Middx HA9 9PE.
The nearest tube station is Wembley Park (5 minute walk) and there is car parking available on site as well as on the surrounding roads (there are no events at Wembley Stadium during the day so parking is available on surrounding roads).

Swami Tejomayananda
Swami Tejomayananda, lovingly known as Pujya Guruji has been the head of Chinmaya Mission worldwide since 1993 serving the vision of his guru Swami Chinmayananda in spreading the timeless knowledge of Vedanta to all who seek it.
Spiritual luminary, eminent Sanskrit scholar, inspirational teacher and talented musician, Guruji is a living embodiment of wisdom and devotion and is considered by many to be among the world's leading masters of Vedanta.
 
As head of the Chinmaya Mission, Pujya Guruji has inspired and implemented many large-scale projects, including:

  • · A Centre of World Understanding in Delhi
  • · The Chinmaya International Foundation in Cochin

Filming has recently been completed of a TV series entitled 'Upanishad Ganga', a series of television episodes relating the deep and subtle concepts of the Upanishads in a way never before seen on public television.
In overseeing the Mission's global activities and projects, Pujya Guruji traverses the globe. Throughout his travels he conducts Gyana Yagnas (lecture series) in different cities and countries every week. His gentle manner, devotional heart, intellectual clarity, joyful wit and warm nature have earned him intergenerational appeal and endear him to millions across the globe.
