“Acharyas and Centres of Chinmaya Mission Worldwide

Dear all

Hari Om! Greetings from Kolkata!

The Government of India (Haryana) is hosting an International Geeta Mahotsav from 6th-10th December 2016 at Kurukshetra. Chinmaya Mission will be represented through the Geeta Exhibition and our books and publications organised by Chinmaya Mission Chennai, Chinmaya Mission Delhi and CCMT respectively.

The aim of the International Geeta Mahotsav is to bring together the worldwide community in the holy grounds of Kurukshetra to understand the glory and impact of the Bhagavad Geeta even today. The Bhagavad Geeta was most dear to Pujya Gurudev.

On 10th December 2016 to coincide with Geeta Jayanti, a global Geeta Chanting Yajna has been organised as part of the Mahostav. Selected verses will be chanted and have been provided in this email as a ready reference. Please see the following attachments:

  1. Flyer with details of the global Geeta Chanting including the 18 selected shlokas
  2. Global Timings for the Geeta Chanting. The timing in India is between 6:00pm-6:15pm

Geeta Jayanti is also the day of Tapovanji Maharaj’s Jayanti. All centres should chant the Tapovan Shatkam thrice after the Geeta Chanting.

I request all to participate and unite in this Geeta Yajna!

With Prem & Om
