On the auspicious occasion of Mahashivaratri in March 2013, 17 more Chinmaya Mission Brahmacharis and Brahmacharinis cast off their yellow robes to enter the Sannyasa ashrama with the blessings of Pujya Guruji Swami Tejomayananda at Sandeepany Sadhanalaya, Mumbai. As the orange sun rose this morning over Mumbai, it brought with it more rays of light than usual in the form of 17 new Chinmaya Mission Swamis and Swaminis. Pujya Guruji Swami Tejomayanandaji was delighted to announce the initiation of his yellow-clothed Brahmacharins into the flaming orange Sannyasa ashrama as Swamis and Swaminis (one who is one with the Self) on this auspicious morning. New names given to Brahmacharins are as follows: Br. Anshuman Chaitanya - Sw. Prameyananda Br. Ravi Chaitanya - Sw. Sakshiroopananda Br. Vinayak Chaitanya - Sw. Prathameshananda Br. Kedar Chaitanya - Sw. Sughoshananda Br. Varada Chaitanya - Sw. Someshananda Br. Vijith Chaitanya - Sw. Jitatmananda Br. Prayag Chaitanya - Sw. Medhajananda Br. Ritesh Chaitanya - Sw. Sarvapriyananda Br. Vasudev Chaitanya - Sw. Govindananda Br. Rishi Chaitanya - Sw. Anukoolananda Br. Sampoorna Chaitanya - Sw. Aksharananda Br. Aniruddha Chaitanya - Sw. Anuttamananda Brni. In November, Pujya Guruji Swami Tejomayananda also gave Sannyasa Deeksha to Brahmachari Prabodh Chaitanya, currently acharya at Chinmaya Mission San Jose, initiating him to ochre robes, a life of renunciation and a new name - Swami Bodhatmananda. Swami Bodhatmananda will also be the acharya of the next Vedanta course at Sandeepanay Sadhanalaya, Mumbai.
