The class will cover chanting of various suktams, such as Pursuha suktam, Narayana Suktam, Sri Suktam and Medha Suktam.
A suktam is a Sanskrit hymn that praises a chosen deity by mentioning the deity’s various attributes and paraphernalia.
Chanting of Vedic hymns and mantras from the scriptures is an ancient tradition that can be traced back over several thousands of years.
Reciting such Vedic hymns in a group creates an energy which contributes towards a sense of well-being and harmony. It is a type of meditation that leads us from sound vibrations to inner silence and deep peace.
The class begins on Friday 31 August 2018.
