Join us for an unforgettable evening concert performed by Shri Himanshu Nanda, in association with Chinmaya Mission UK. As a noted senior disciple of the legendary Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, Himanshuji is a master of the bansuri, the divine instrument of Lord Krishna. Himanshu Nanda is an ardent performer who appeals to the learned and the novice alike and is known for his unique vibrant recitals, interactive lecture demonstrations, intuitive workshops and off-beat collaborations with artists of different genres. Following in the footsteps of his guru, Himanshuji also nurtures the next generation of musicians in his role as Director of Music at Chinmaya Naada Bindu– a gurukul for Indian performing arts in Pune, India.
Himanshuji will be accompanied by tabla maestro Manjeet Rasiya, widely recognised as one of the finest Indian classical percussionists in the UK. Manjeetji is a classical trained musician who, over the last 40 years, has performed and recorded with a wide range of musicians spanning over thirty years. This includes musical styles from classical to experimental music.
