“Music is the ornamentation of silence,” said Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda. Inspired by Pujya Gurudev’s teachings and guidance from Pujya Guruji Swami Tejomayananda, the goal of Chinmaya Swaranjali, a grassroots wing of Chinmaya Mission, is to journey from Swara to Ishwara and experience oneness with the divine Self through music.

“I sing for the Lord!” said Pujya Guruji on 30 June 2003 to the founding team of Chinmaya Swaranjali, thereby imparting its vision in a simple and beautiful way.

30 June 2021 marks the 18th anniversary of Chinmaya Swaranjali, the perfect opportunity for all Chinmaya Mission Centres to take the sankalpa of starting a Swaranjali group where there isn’t one already. For guidance on how to go about this, you could send an email to

Attached is the flyer for a special anniversary online celebration, coordinated by Chinmaya Naada Bindu Gurukula of Chinmaya Vishwavidyapeeth, in which 16 Chinmaya Swaranjali groups from USA, UAE and India will be presenting beautiful Shri Rama bhajans.
