Devotional music

The UK-based musical group meets weekly at our centre, ‘Chinmaya Kirti’ in North London to sing and serve through music.

The founding Chinmaya Swaranjali group was formed in India by a group of musicians inspired by Swami Tejomayananda, the former Global Head of Chinmaya Mission. Deeply touched and inspired by the teachings of Swami Chinmayananda and Swami Tejomayananda, its members look upon music not as an idle passion, but as a dynamic vehicle to seek the inner source of joy and divinity. Chinmaya Swaranjali UK is the UK-based offshoot of this inspiring concept.

Testimonials from Chinmaya Swaranjali attendees:

I started going to Chinmaya Swaranjali six years ago. I always leave the class feeling fully energised. The sessions give me the opportunity to learn and sing Bhajans, and the entire team is so encouraging, they involve you, whatever stage you are at. – Murthy Surepeddi

For me, attending Swaranjali classes is not really about the singing; it is a Sadhana (spiritual practice). It is meditative as we create music to glorify the Guru and all the divine forms in Hindu culture. It brings my mind to quietude. – Nina Majithia
