Chinmaya Kirti Renovation – The Vision

November 2021 – Update

With Gurudev’s grace we are pleased to advise that the renovation of Chinmaya Kirti is progressing extremely well and is currently on track to complete by the end of Q1, 2022.

This renovation is not about a building but a vision for future generations who are nurtured to be the champions of Gurudev’s teachings. Providing them with a home where they can learn, grow, develop and serve.

Thank you for your ongoing support, to date we have received pledges and donations of £1,050,000 from around 30% of Chinmaya Mission members. We still have a long way to go to reach our £1.9m target. We humbly request you to come forward and make your pledge and contribute to this once in a life time opportunity to give back in gratitude. Just ask yourself… if not you, then who? If not now, then when?

Chinmaya Kirti has been the focal point of all Chinmaya Mission UK’s activities for the past 16 years where we have seen our numbers and events grow. It is now time to think about further growth and ensure that we have a centre, a home that is fit for the next generation, so they have a place where they can learn, grow, develop and serve.

Chinmaya Kirti Renovation Appeal

If you believe in the importance of the work that Chinmaya Mission does in spreading the knowledge advaita vedanta – the vision of oneness – and the need to ensure this is preserved for our children and their children, then we request you to come forward and support this great vision.

The renovation is currently forecasted to cost £1.9m and will start in 2021. It is expected to take 14 months, after which the centre will have an expanded main hall to participate in events. There will be more class-rooms on the first floor, a dedicated prayer room and new bookshop and living quarters for resident teachers, a conference room on a new second floor.
