Taittiriya Upanishad

This Upanishad is divided into 3 main sections or vallis. The first one, Shiksha-valli declares the Hindu way of living : “Speak the truth. Do your duty. Do not neglect the study of your scriptures. Do not cut the thread of your progeny.Swerve not from truth. Deviate not from the path of good. Revere greatness.” It paves the path for both purification & single pointedness of the mind.

The second, Brahmananda—valli, gives Brahma Vidya & opens with a profound declaration: “He who realises Brahman attains the supreme Brahman as Truth, Knowledge and Infinite .”

In the third, Bhrgu-valli, the father-teacher Varuna says, “Seek to know Brahman by meditation. Mediation is Brahman. “

Taittiriya Upanishad occupies an unrivalled place in the divine tradition of Hinduism.
