Shri Rama Gita (based on Ved Vyasa’s Adhyatma Ramayana in Sanskrit)

New Class – Every Sunday  – begins February 20th, 2022 (Adults)

Time: 9am-10.15am

Location: Online via Zoom

Facilitator : Suresh Wadhwani (suresh@chinmayauk.org)

After performing his painful duty of abandoning Sita in the forest at the command of his brother Shri Rama, Lakshmana returned confused in his thinking and with contradictory emotions surging within him. He asks Shri Rama about the morality, the beauty and ugliness that are inherent in all actions that man undertakes. The advice given is called ‘Sri Rama Gita’ – and is in the Uttarakanda of Adhyatma Ramayana. Shri Rama in the role of an ideal teacher, dispels the ignorance of his dear and devoted brother Lakshmana, by imparting the knowledge of the Self. Swami Chinmayananda reveals the deep significance of each verse. The subject is subtle, and exposition by Shri Rama is brief but fully comprehensive. Since this is a postgraduate textbook on Vedanta, students are warned that they should read this only after an exhautive study of Self Unfoldment, Atma Bodha and The Bhagavad Gita
