Message from Central Chinmaya Mission Trust:
“Dear All,
Hari Om!
I am delighted to share the news that today the Government of India has officially communicated that Pujya Guruji Swami Tejomayanandaji has been conferred the Padma Bhushan award.
The Padma Bhushan award is one of the most prestigious civilian National awards in India, recognising the recipients’ distinguished service of high order to the nation.
It is befitting that in the birth centenary year (2015-2016) of Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayanandaji, His devoted disciple is being recognised through the conferring of this award. It is indeed recognition of the work of the entire organisation.
It is an occasion of great joy for the Chinmaya family as well as an opportunity to rededicate and resolve to take forward Pujya Gurudev’s work and message to more and more people.
In His Service,
Manisha Khemlani
Chief Operating Officer”
Dedication in response from Pujya Guruji:
“Dear All,
Hari Om!
I thank the Government of India for bestowing on me the honour of Padma Bhushan.
In all humility I dedicate this Padma Bhushan award to my beloved mother, respected father, revered Gurudev Swami Chinmayanandaji, and the most worshipful God with whose grace and blessings alone this prestigious national recognition has been conferred on me.
I thank all my well-wishers who have been sending messages of congratulations to me with great love and regard.
With Prem & Om,
Tejomayananda”
Since 8th May 2015, Chinmaya International Foundation, the Chinmaya Mission Centre for Sanskrit Research and Indology in Kerala, has been presenting the memories of a variety of people who interacted with Gurudev, worked with Him, served Him, looked after Him, and remain captivated by His divinity to this day. Or they simply heard Him, or watched Him in action, and were left breathless. Or read His works and never turned back again… people who were so deeply impacted by Gurudev that their lives were never the same again.
These are big people, small people, known people, unknown people, seen people, unseen people, but the common thread that unites them all is their love of Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda.
