CHYK Shreyas Iyer completes 100 mile Prudential Ride for Chinmaya Mission UK

20th August 2015On 1st August 2015, Chinmaya Mission UK held a joint observance of Guru Poornima and Mahasamadhi Day at Chinmaya Kirti. The evening commenced with a Guru Paduka Puja, which was followed by the collective chanting of the 108 Names of Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda. Over 150 devotees were then treated to a video of Gurudev speaking about the significance of karma yoga. The Saturday Self-Unfoldment class attendees enacted a short play about defying delusions, based on Sri Adi Shankaracharya’s Bhaja Govindam, following which there was a unique presentation by the youth wing, CHYK, sharing personal reflections of Chinmaya Mission members about the significance of Gurudev in their lives. The programme concluded with soulful Guru bhajans by Chinmaya Swaranjali as attendees offered pranaams at the altar.
