I am delighted to inform you that with the blessings of Lord Jadgadeeshwara and Pujya Gurudev, the Government of India has issued the final notification today for establishing Chinmaya Vishwavidyapeeth, the University for Sanskrit and Indic Traditions. We can now officially enrol students into our higher education programmes and carry forward the torch of wisdom from our ancient knowledge traditions to our future generations of youngsters. Our Chinmaya Vishwavidyapeeth team is working very diligently to make that happen.
I am also happy to inform you that as the Global Head of Chinmaya Mission, I have accepted office as the First Chancellor of the university till I hand over charge as Head of the Mission to Swami Swaroopananda on 19th January 2017.
I invoke the Grace of the Lord and the Blessings of Pujya Gurudev on Chinmaya Vishwavidyapeeth to fulfil the very purpose for which it is established.
