Sanskrit is the source of many modern languages as well as the language in which many Indian classics were composed. Its working knowledge opens the window to the core of the traditional Indian values. This class aims to impart such knowledge to the students using the textbooks of the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) of the Govt of India.
Pre-requisites: It is expected that the students can read and write in Devanagari script.
Class content: The lessons from the NCERT textbooks comprise the primary content. This will be supplemented by stotras, subhashitas, and stories to familiarise the students with the cultures and traditions of India. The content and the difficulty level will be adjusted based on the class composition.
