Study of Sanskrit

Dear Student,

Hari Om. Salutations.

Greetings from Chinmaya International Foundation (CIF)!

We are all beneficiaries of Sanatana Dharma, a treasure trove of various branches of knowledge that enrich our lives and enable us to become positive contributors of society. Since most of the treatises that enshrine the wisdom of Sanatana Dharma are written in Sanskrit, learning the language would help one gain the maximum. Being the oldest, richest and most logically constructed language of the world, it would definitely be an immense privilege to be able to master it. The poetic beauty and sophistication of Sanskrit is something that needs to be personally experienced.

Given below are a few options recommended for you just to learn Sanskrit – the Divine Language. You may choose one or more depending on your interest, knowledge and availability of time.

  1. Basics of Sanskrit: You may enrol for CIF’s Easy Sanskrit Course to learn the basics of Sanskrit. The course teaches starting from the alphabets, word formation, sentence construction, basic grammar and so on with useful practice lessons.
